The heart of our ministry is to provide an atmosphere that brings us closer to God, in all aspects of the worship experience.
Isaiah 25:1 Lord you are my God, I will exalt you and praise your name for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
Psalm 150:6 Let everything that hath breath Praise the Lord!
Worship is something we DO, but it also DOES something to us, and it is for all God's purposes. Corporate worship is where we come together as a unified body to celebrate, magnify, and praise God for WHO He is, and WHAT He has done for us. In worship we not only offer our praise up to God, but we experience the presence of God and receive communication from Him.
When the praises go up, God's glory comes down. Souls are saved, bodies are healed and broken hearts are made new.
Current Priorities:
- The goal is for music to become "ours" for the Community Church, in order to increase familiarity with each song and have a balance of traditional, contemporary, and most popular across denominations.
- Increase engagement within and without: while increasing outreach to the community, continue ensuring that members are engaged and feel comfortable participating in all aspects of worship, and that appropriate communication is given and received, focusing on the "why" of the reasoning behind changes that are made. We also strive to increase the number of volunteer ushers, and special musicians, singers, and people with special gifts.
- Upgrade and/or update technology that supports a better worship experience, both in person, and online.
Our goal is to provide a variety of musical experiences for everyone worshipping at our church. Vocal and meditative special gifts enhance our worship. Outdoor worship services and special events are possibilities for the summer time.
