Church Council

The Church Council serves as a guiding team committed to helping Community Church of Boulder Junction thrive—not just within our walls, but throughout our town.

While the Council provides oversight for the church’s core ministries and operations, their work is ultimately about listening for God’s leading, stewarding meaningful change, and fostering a church culture that welcomes both longtime residents and seasonal guests alike. The Council consists of our pastor and the elected leaders of seven departments: Elders, Faith Formation, Stewardship of Finances, Church Property, Worship and Music, Missions, and Personnel. Together, they support the day-to-day life and long-term vision of the church. Supporting the Council are several committees, such as Fellowship and Communications, which help bring connection and care to our wider community.

Council members are elected by our congregation during the annual July meeting and serve staggered terms, ensuring a balance of fresh insight and seasoned leadership. The Council gathers once a month, and these meetings are open to the public—because transparency and trust matter deeply to us.

Ultimately, the Council exists not just to manage, but to move—with open hands and hopeful hearts—toward a future shaped by faith, service, and belonging. As a church, we believe it’s both a privilege and a sacred calling to use our gifts for the good of one another and the flourishing of Boulder Junction.
