The Mission Department’s purpose is to carry God’s love, compassion, encouragement, and hope into the lives of adults, family, and children.
Through tithes, special offerings, and fundraising events we partner with our church congregation. We are in service and support of the marginalized and needy in our community, in our nation, and throughout the world where we can do God’s work according to scripture.
We are committed to helping with economic sustainability, meeting humanitarian needs, guiding spiritual needs and administering physical health needs. This past year our congregation donated a special gift to Samaritans Purse disaster relief for the North Carolina hurricanes. Our fundraising included the “For Heaven’s Sake” Rummage/Bake Sale and Strawberry Social. Funds raised support missions and local scholarships. We also collected and assembled shoe boxes filled with God’s love for the Operation Christmas Child worldwide effort. A water system was provided to World Vision to ensure clean drinking water for families and children. An Easter Giving Tree helped local charities, New Dawn Pregnancy and Frederick House with staple goods.
